Our Story
Biocommunity Biobank was founded by two visionary Black women, each with over two decades of experience in clinical research, trial management, and patient recruitment. Their deep passion for health equity stems from firsthand experiences witnessing the profound lack of representation of minority populations in clinical trials. This glaring underrepresentation has led to a troubling reality where medical treatments and breakthroughs often fail to meet the needs of these communities. Determined to drive meaningful change, they created Biocommunity Biobank to ensure that all populations, particularly those historically marginalized, are not just included but prioritized in the future of medical research. these communities, leading to inequitable healthcare outcomes.
Recognizing the need for change, they built Biocommunity Biobank to serve as a vital resource for pharmaceutical companies, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), and academic institutions striving to conduct more inclusive research.
